A better money story.
I grew up watching my dad chase more.
More money, more freedom, more adventure.
He had everything we’re told to want.
But it was never enough.
He lost the people he loved, the relationship he wanted, and eventually his life.
I never forgot that.
And when I became a dad, I saw the same pressures trying to repeat themselves.
So I built something different.
The Awesome Stuff
It started as a moment with my boys at Disneyland.
It grew into a book.
Then a deck of cards.
Then a classroom experience.
Now it’s a movement.

The Awesome Stuff movement.
Today, more than 5,000 families on four continents, and dozens of schools, have made The Awesome Stuff part of how they talk about money. The TEDx talk has been watched over 125,000 times.
The mission is simple: rewrite how an entire generation thinks and feels about money.
Not as math. As meaning.
Why it matters.
Money touches everything.
But the things that make life rich aren’t things at all.
They’re the moments, the people, and the choices that matter most.
The team.
David Delisle
TEDx speaker, author, and creator of The Awesome Stuff. He wrote The Golden Quest and built the question, “Is this my Awesome Stuff?”, after watching his own father chase more and lose what mattered most. He speaks to schools, families, and communities across North America.
Shannon Ashby
Partner and co-creator of the movement. A certified coach, Shannon leads the movement alongside David. She refines the message, builds the partnerships, and carries the work into schools and families. Where David created the story, Shannon shapes how it lives in the world.
